3M Scotch® Electroplating Tape -- Type 470

  • Tape 470 is a tan colored vinyl/rubber tape for use in electroplating and anodizing.

  • It use is very compatible with 3Mtm Glass Cloth Tape 361 for plasma spray.

  • It has excellent resistance to most chemicals.

  • It is vulnerable to ketones, chlorinated hydrocarbons and esters

  • Tape 470 is highly conformable and abrasion resistant.

  • Use is for environments below 78C.

  • Tape 470 qualifies to meet (USA) Federal Specification HH-T-0025, (GSA-F-SS) Amendment2.
