Double coated tapes are a layer of adhesive, a clear polyester carrier, another layer of adhesive, and a liner.
4.0 mil, 300 high tack acrylic adhesive with polyester film carrier and 60 lb densified paper kraft paper liner. Medium temperature and low solvent resistance, high HSE and LSE. Good adhesion to plastics. Use for gasket attachment.
Carrier is the key to performance somewhat different than adhesive transfer tapes. With adhesive on both sides, double coated tapes have more body than adhesive transfer tapes, providing increased dimensional stability, easier handling and easier dispensing. 444 tape has an adhesive that provides good adhesion to most plastics, including polyethylene. 9500PC tape has an adhesive that provides exceptionally high temperature resistance.
