Double coated (double adhesive) tapes are a layer of adhesive, a carrier, another layer of adhesive, and a liner.
The carrier provides the following performance differences in comparison to adhesive transfer tapes:
More body
greater dimensional stability
easier handling
easier dispensing
Tape 415 has a polyester film paper carrier with high-tack adhesive that has good initial adhesion on most surfaces.
